Château Cos Labory — Attraction in Lesparre-Médoc

We were 20 minutes late for our tasting booking, still there was 40 minutes left until closing time at 18:00. The lady who “welcomed” us was absolutely rude and arrogant explaining that she can’t host us anymore as she is closing down soon. Eine sehr nette und fachkundige Besichtigung vom Firmenchef selber. Er hat uns das Weingut erklärt, die Produktion gezeigt und die Verkostung geleitet.

Einen Tag vorher hatten wir dort per Mail angefragt und eine Zusage bekommen. Mit meiner Frau und unsere beiden Kinder (2 und 9 Jahre) waren wir zu viert, was mich ein wenig gewundert hat, dass eine Führung auch für eine kleine Familie ohne Probleme gemacht wurde. Er erklärte alles auf gutem Englisch, so dass wir das meiste verstehen konnten.

Im Nachgang haben wir dann natürlich (aus meiner Sicht) viel zu viel Wein gekauft, aber das Gefühl, die kompetente Erklärung und das Erlebnis war es auf jeden Fall wert.

Eine Autofahrt durch die Weinberge und kleinen Örtchen im Vorfeld oder Nachgang ist zu empfehlen.
