Château Lafon-Rochet — Attraction in Lesparre-Médoc

My husband and I had a wonderful private tour. Lafon-Rochet is a beautiful, modern and technologically-advanced chateau. They use cement vats that have temperature control through a water cooling system in the walls of the vats. Each vat is monitored by a computer/ mobile app.

We enjoyed 3 tastings - 2000 was superb, soft and smooth. 2007 was good and so was 2016. Purchased 2014 as it was a personal special year at 42 euros so very reasonable. We also met the owner....
