If you are looking for a memorable and educational wine tour in Pomerol, look no further. Roxane was our guide, and she was fantastic. She was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about wine. She gave us detailed explanations of the history of the chateau, the terroir of Pomerol, and the winemaking process. She also answered all our questions with patience and enthusiasm. We were especially impressed by the concrete fermentation tanks, which are interesting to see and give the wines a distinctive character. The tasting was the highlight of the tour (of course). We sampled several wines from different varieties, and Roxane explained the differences and nuances of each one. Our hostess Roxane was extremely knowledgeable, great fun, warm and generous too (on learning my daughter there with me was born 2004, she even thought of something special for her). The chateau & vineyards are absolutely beautiful and very interesting. To see how the wine is made was fascinating. Our wine tasting was lots of fun and educational.
