Château de La Dauphine — Attraction in Libourne

I visit Le Caves de la Dauphine often in Boulogne, so when we planned a trip to Bordeaux, we had to visit their chateau. Le Caves de la Dauphine organised a private tour and it was amazing. Ben was our guide and he was informative and friendly. The chateau grounds are beautiful and it was interesting to see and hear about how the wines are made. Visiting from Vancouver, Canada, my husband and I had the pleasure of visiting chateau de la Dauphine. We have a few of their wines cellaring back home so it was a real treat getting to see and hearing the history of where they came from. Camille was our tour guide and she was exceptional!! Pour une petite cousinade (6 personnes) nous avons fait la visite du château La Dauphine dans le Fronsadais, comprenant la visite guidée des chais, le vignoble, suivi d'une dégustation et d'un déjeuner froid à l'intérieur du château, car il était prévu au bord de la piscine, mais elle était en réfection. Ce qui n'a rien gâché, car vu la chaleur, nous étions bien mieux à l'intérieur. La visite c'est faite en compagnie de deux charmantes jeunes femmes (elle m'excuserons d'avoir oublié leurs prénoms). Elles ont été extrêmement accueillantes, charmantes et compétentes dans leurs informations, tant sur l'historique du domaine que sur la vinification. Elles ont su répondre à nos questions avec beaucoup d'efficacité. Le déjeuner froid semi gastro, était absolument délicieux, bravo au traiteur qui a su nous régaler avec des produits de grande qualité et c'est très copieux, même pour de gros mangeurs, voir même un peu trop...
