Château de Sales — Attraction in Libourne

What an experience ! I went there with 5 friend from Czech Republic knowing nothing about wine. Our host the sommelier was fantastic and speaking a perfect English. He tailored the experience to our knowledge and really made the difference. Don't get me wrong the place is beautiful and the tour is totally worth it but for the sommelier made the difference. A truly exceptional visit for 8 people of various ages from 18 to 70, with various levels of wine knowledge - we were made to feel extremely welcome at this beautiful family-owned vineyard, with a guided tour of the grounds and facilities, and a tasting of some of their marvellous Pomerol wines - our guide was most convivial and provided a wealth of interesting facts about the chateau, the wine and French wine making in general.
