Great little burial mound, set in woodland and accessed from a car park next to an Indian Restaurant. Entrance fee is done via an honesty box then it's a short signposted stroll to the mound itself. I think we spent about 45 minutes here which was stretching it out a bit. You can walk into the burial mound through an open door but it does mean bending over (and I'm not to tall) once inside there are some interesting markings on the wall but take a torch or mobile phone torch because it's dark. There are some explanatory boards re: it's history and discovery etc. All in all an...

6,500 year old burial mound with subterranean passage and chamber. Slightly off the beaten trail and away from the crowds, but highly worth a visit for a more intimate experience with the stones. There's a light in the inner chamber but a torch may be useful for additional light in the tunnel (or if you ignored the switch). Perfect height for a toddler, but adults mind your head! Free parking, 4 minutes walk,...

Atmospheric burial mound with chambered tomb, surrounded by a nice mixed woodland. Arrived by foot from Carnac at 8am ish, had the place to myself, which makes all the difference when trying to absorb the feel of a place like this. I wonder who it was that was thought of so highly? Some handsome spiders are the watchmen now.

I love these sorts of things and this didn't disappoint. This site is pretty quiet compared to the main Carnac sites so is a relief from the crowds. To get here its a couple of hundred meters south of the main road to a car park, then a couple of hundred meters walk to the west.
