Château De Forbin — Attraction in Marseille

We recently held a group event at both this location, and la Ferme D'AnaÏs (another of the owner’s locations nearby) for 75 people, over the course of 4 days during the Rugby World Cup. As you can imagine, a group of 75 people is no easy feat to organize, but we can confidently say that each and every one of these couples walked away absolutely speechless.

First of all, this property is incredible. The pool, and pool house/area, is so picturesque and dreamy that you’ll not want to leave. Our group easily spent entire afternoons just breezing around here without a care in the world. The artwork, and the decor in general throughout the house is so thoughtfully chosen and elegant, the massive kitchen is stocked to the brim with all the equipment you could possibly need, and the entire area is enclosed and private.

Then there's the owners, wow. Roman, who manages the property is as gracious a host as can be. He met with us early in our planning (a year out, to be precise), and was available to help ahead of, and throughout our trip. He went above and beyond and we say this from the bottom of our hearts – we could not recommend him and this property enough.

He also connected us with a fantastic local chef, Matthieu, who catered our dinners and events (which received incredible feedback from all of our guests).

We will 100% be back, and we look forward to the all-around excellent trip we’re sure we’ll get once...

Ce superbe domaine aux portes du Parc National des Calanques accueillera dès le 15ème siècle le pavillon de chasse de la puissante famille de Forbin. Elle y construira au 19ème cette grande bastide, se caractérisant par une tourelle d’angle, un immense parc et des pépites historiques de tout premier ordre dont un morceau du rempart du Castrum de St Marcel ! En 2019, l’immense propriété était mise en vente. On aurait pu alors imaginer que les nouveaux propriétaires allaient continuer à préserver dans le secret cet écrin exceptionnel qui suscite bien des fantasmes dans le quartier, car peu ont eu la chance d’y pénétrer. Bien au contraire, depuis le 25 juin 2020, ce château vie, créé et s’ouvré au public accueillant une étonnante résidence d’artistes et l’exposition d’une des plus belles collections au monde de post-graffiti new-yorkais des années 80-90. Un mélange des genres inattendu imaginé par les collectionneurs, experts et passionnés, de la Galerie marseillaise Ghost, Stéphane Miquel et Caroline Pozzo di Borgo. Romans hospitality was second to none, the experience felt personal and welcoming from start to finish. The staff are fantastic, nothing is too much trouble.
