The south coast of France is famous for its beaches but I have to say that if you want to experience the best it has to offer, then get away from the big tourist hot-spot beaches and head out to these beautiful wild coves along the coast between Saint Raphael and Cannes. This one is one of our favourites. If you get there early enough there is a free car park or ample street parking. Getting down to the beach for some may be slightly challenging but if you take your time it is fine. Once down, you'll arrive on a gorgeous pebble beach with beautiful blue turquoise waters and rugged red cliffs. I recommend that you bring some swimming shoes as the pebbles can be a bit hard on the feet, but more importantly bring your snorkeling equipment to explore the waters. As I mentioned, it is a wild beach, so no amenities except a couple times a day, when a snack boat arrives selling sandwiches, drinks and ice-creams. So if you gotta go, then the sea or bushes are all you have. Even though throughout the day, more and more people came, it never got too crowded as people were leaving at almost the same rate. I really recommend trying this beach especially in the covid times as there is always enough space to...

This is one of our favorite places to visit whenever we’re around Cannes. The red rocky beaches and crystal-clear water are stunning, and it’s usually not too crowded. There’s also a naturist beach for those interested.

Some areas are a bit tricky to reach, with steps and rocks, so avoid flip-flops and wear proper shoes. There are no services here—it’s all about the wild, natural vibe, which we love—but come prepared with water and food, as it can get very hot.

And please, take your trash back with you, as there...
