Pretty but too loud because there are many school children running around and screaming their hearts out. I was trying to peacefully enjoy my sandwich on a bench when a group of elementary students almost harassed me right there and then. They ran to my bench and stood around it, looking at me like what the hell i was doing there. Some girls sat down next to me while some boys were playing soccer right in front of me. It was a quiet time, not many people around and other benches were empty. They had a teacher and she didn't say anything to them. I just grabbed my stuff and moved 2 benches over.... I wonder if children in France learn...
Read moreA wonderful park to visit for locals and tourists. There are plenty of very old olive trees, they should be 100 to 200 years old. You have a snack with tables outside to eat sandwiches, panini, etc. and attractions for kids. Next to the park you should go toward the old monastery and visit its traditional park. It's now a very beautiful free public garden with many flowers and many kinds of roses at Spring. You can do marvelous photos there. Specially for couples. You still have a marvelous view on Nice, its beach and on the hill of the castle if you go at...
Read moreQuiet park, lots of trees but it looks neglected, beaten up. Benches old and cracked, loose dirt, dead grass, old olive trees, no flowers, no color at all. A bunch of old guys playing bocce and neat little cafe adds some life to otherwise not-so-pretty pretty. A "jardin"? Not really. Mostly a place for local folks to walk their dogs. Based on previous comments, seems something is wrong here. It was a very nice place, perhaps they ran out of money or something. Definitely not a highlight place to visit, even though the bus ride...
