We came with our dogs (on lead) on a not so great day weather wise as we thought it would be a great afternoon out for them. Its still warm at the beginning of October so great for us tourists. What a lovely place, we were met both owners on our walk and had a lovely chat. The rain came down heavy and were offered a drink in the marquee whilst it passed. How lovely. The garden in October is full of golden leafed trees in October and I have to say I was surprised how lush it still was. Obviously if you go at the start of the season it'll be in full bloom but we had a lovely couple of hours walking around. When we got home I discovered that they weren't even meant to be open on that day! Oops. But just goes to show how what great hosts they are....

Beautiful gardens with a multitude of secret paths windy through them. The gardens are certainly very tranquil and well worth a visit. We will be revisiting throughout next year and in the future. We went in October and the colours were stunning The gardens will have different appeal throughout the year but will I believe always look stunning. There are woods, a river, lawns and shrubbery and a well located tea room. The owners are really charming and welcoming You will feel very relaxed...

Visited towards the end of May 2017 the gardens or located outside Brantome, just off the southern roundabout (towards Perigueux). Having previously visited the garden 10 years ago it was interesting to see the way in which the new owners had developed new areas and built in secret corners. The garden has its own special fusion of styles which combined with the tranquility experienced there really transports you into another world. Well worth a visit just for the peace that...

Our second visit to this lovely garden. The name says it all. It is so calm and peaceful. On a previous visit with my son and his wife we went in the afternoon, after lunch. This time we took a picnic and Robert recommended a lovely spot overlooking the river (best spot in the garden). Don't forget to stop and have a tea or coffee as it all helps the upkeep. Thanks Robert and Melody (we were the couple with the black Tesla🙂).

It is well worth a visit. We received a really good welcome when we arrived and our host told us all about how the gardens had developed. It is a really relaxing place to both walk round and sit. The Acer trees and water features are beautiful. We will hopefully return some day.

The peaceful gardens are a haven of tranquility! A Zen interlude, the sound of water. The leaves rustling in the wind, a gentle melody. Despite a very hot summer, the vegetation has retained its lush greenery. The hosts are attentive and do everything to ensure you are delighted. And the photo in the middle of the tree cloud, recognizable among all, is a must! Thank you for these hours of delight.
