This place is an undisputed gem and personally, I found it to be the most beautiful and interesting place in Noumea. I was surprised to discover that it wasn't on the local bus tours. It's a long and steep walk, so unless walking is your thing, I'd recommend getting transport. The views are amazing and the road up there is safe to walk by. There's also a bush trail back down that is very pretty. Included are stations of the cross. Entry is free but donations are requested.
