Managed to squeeze in a brief park walk on our last day & if you like beautiful plants and ample foliage to provide shade this is a great place to chill out - bring a picnic lunch there are lots of spots to settle on but no feeding the animals!!
It was nice that the endemic fauna are close enough to really appreciate as I don’t think a cagou in the wild would have let us get so close.
That said, some of the bird enclosures are a bit small though & we only checked out the endemic section so we never witnessed what others have mentioned about mammals being kept in very confined spaces which possibly exist in other sections.
It’s quite hilly and the further you descend the longer you’ll inevitably need to ascend so keep this in mind if walking on inclines or declines are problematic.

However if you prefer not to walk you can hire a Segway and even have a guided tour on them. Many varied species of birds laid throughout the park. Many peacocks roaming freely which is nice. Some monkeys which were a highlight and when saw some barnyard animals. For overseas visitors entry is via French Frank however if you only American or Australian they will accept donations for entry without change. Read moreVery enjoyable day out. Great opportunity to see Lego Cagou in an enclosed environment. Many albino pea fowl wandering the grounds. Has a great cafe onsite not far from the entrance. Bring plenty of water as it can get very hot walking around in the heat. Went during the middle of the week and there weren't too many people around.
