Parc des Sports de Bompas — Attraction in Perpignan

I waited for three days to visit the park since it was closed after their weekend festival. Some locals told me they needed time to clean. I am sure they cleaned after their weekend festival but it’s true the park in general doesn’t seem well maintained. I even saw some bath sinks (I think) dumped in grassy areas.

I know nothing about animals but they did not look particularly well cared for. I saw no one in the ‘zoo’ area.

I needed a place to walk my dog. Yes they have a dog park which is nice, big and has water. But I wanted to walk through the park with him to try to calm him after continuous noise from shooting to repel birds from nearby vineyards. A bike policeman approached me on the way out to the parking lot and scolded me very sternly because the dog was off leash. Almost with disgust which surprised me. Needless to say, I have no desire to go there again.

Petit parc sympa avec quelques activités pour les petits comme la pêche aux canards, les animaux et la ballade en poney. Il y aussi la possibilité de faire des grillades avec autorisation de la mairie au préalable. Il y a un espace pour le sport de glisse (vélo, skate, roller) et puis un jardin pour enfants avec toboggan et des terrains de foot/rugby. Il est assez bien entretenu et surveillez par la police municipale. Le seul inconvénient : les horaires très restreint en cette période estivale.
