Note essential to book in advance. 3 departures per day in fixed groups. We had a really great time but would not recommend for anyone of a nervous disposition or very young children. We came with children aged 9-12 I would not recommend for much younger. It goes faster than you’d think, especially on the return! It’s noisy too, constantly squeaking metal on metal. 8km each way. To turn the cars round you have to use a simple raised wheel mechanism. The views of the river and town, plus huge fields of sunflowers are beautiful but note you are not allowed to stop along the route. The verbal safety briefing is entirely in French. 11 cars go together keeping 100m apart...

Really enjoyed this ride, but be aware that all instructions given at the start of the ride are given in French, even though the guide knew we were English . This meant we were unaware that the final few carriages were only for the short trip and so we missed out on the full, long trip that we had actually booked. They did refund us the difference, but for future reference, PLEASE CHECK YOU ARE IN THE CORRECT CARRIAGE BEFORE SETTING OFF. Aside from this, the trip was amazing, only wished it would have...

Chouette balade
Nous avons fait le Vélorail de Chauvigny hier mercredi 20 juillet 2022.
L'accueil en boutique est à retravailler mais qu'importe le bonjour on est venu pour pédaler. A l'extérieur les deux femmes sont très souriantes et expliquent parfaitement ! Le départ n'a pas vraiment eu lieu à l'heure car sur le nombre de l'équipe on a l'impression que c'est que les deux femmes de dehors qui bossent.... réception des retours Vélorail, glaces....etc etc.... résultat nous ne sommes pas partis à l'heure. A notre retour (19h10)surprise......plus aucun personnel !!!! Place nette c'est la débauche sûrement nous sommes seuls avec les gens devant nous....pas de possibilité d'achats de glace ou boisson...wc dispo....portail ouvert...alors hop on s'en va comme ça !
La balade est très très sympa avec des vues imprenables sur la cité médiévale et les alentours. L'aller est un faux plat montant donc nécessite plus d'efforts....mais le retour un régal avec juste une petite portion à pédaler.
C'est ombragé en grande partie....ça fait du bien !!!
