An amazing place to snorkel and/or watch the sunset. Since the area is located in a protected lagoon, there are absolutely no waves from the ocean. You can swim 300 feet from the shore and be in no danger of a strong current or wave making it extremely safe for families with children. The depth of the water at this distance is very reasonable and no more than 5-10 feet throughout. Tons of fish, coral, and sealife to swim around and explore with. Parking at the beach is free although not very large, more free spots are available later in the day and when I went an hour before sunset, I was able to find a parking spot the moment I arrived. Read moreVery popular public beach with a small parking lot that overflows on the weekends. Can be tough to find space when its popping. There is some ok beginner snorkeling, but at lower tide it can get very shallow. You need to head out to the outer reef edge to see any rays, turtles, or small black tip reef sharks (SHARKS ARE NOT DANGEROUS).
This is about as far south as most tourists from town get, so expect to see people standing on coral and generally acting bad.
