It was a very wet day here today, so we decided to visit the fire engine museum.

We didn't know what to expect, but was good to have a look around. We don't speak much french, but the gentleman on the front desk couldn't have tried harder with us and between our limited french and his limited English we got by.

The exhibits don't have any English translation but they do have an English booklet to guide you around the museum.

It wasn't huge but was interesting enough to see all the old engines and uniforms. We traveled 40 minutes and spent about an hour and a half here. Which was perfect for what we were looking for.

We took a 4 month old and he was content in his buggy there was only one bit he couldn't go to as there were steps so we took him out and carried him. They also have a baby changing facility in...

Well worth a visit! The range of equipment on display was a great surprise. Due to unfortunately not speaking french I was given the well translated english guide book which was great.

The collection of vintage fire engines was amazing! A mix of restored and clean vehicles with patina, so much to look at with plenty of information. If you just like vehicles this will be enjoyable in itself.

Friendly staff, and a lot to look at, a great way to spend a few hours....

Mr...

If you like fire engines, this is a must see. Totally unique collection, beautifully restored and presented and very impressive for a provincial museum.
