Tourist Railway of the Aa Valley — Attraction in Saint-Omer

Fantastic! Volunteers are really nice. We were in one of the old diesels, it was low season so there were not many people. The train itself is old and looks it, could lack a little bit of charm for those who are not into trains but we loved it. The volunteers were providing some info, it is very much in french though. We felt that it was not expensive at all for what we got. The small museum in Blendeck station is quaint but interesting. We liked that the train stopped several times to look at points of interests. We left Lumbres at 15:30, had a return ticket, we were back around 17:40, overall a pleasant afternoon...

I had a fantastic weekend at the steam festival, I would absolutely recommend this railway to any enthusiast and non-enthusiast. The line runs beautifully through the French countryside with stunning views and a lot of worthwhile museums to visit very close to...

Nice little railroad museum. Was nit sure if it was open, but got to see them fire up the old steam engine. Parking on the inside of the fence. There is a sign on the fence, No Entry, but think this is just part of the exhibition as all cars was parked...
