Parc aquatique Aqua Mundo Center Parcs Les Trois Forêts — Attraction in Sarrebourg-Château-Salins

Overall, it's not half bad. This Aqua Mundo is located in what is reportedly the largest Centre Parcs village. You definitely get that feeling from time to time here. We stayed for a week and the first few days were OK. The pool was busy but not crowded however by midweek it was very busy. The main/wave pool was like people soup, not much option for actual swimming and the rides were packed, even witnessing a couple of people being stretchered off from the rapids. Talking of rides, when it's busy, the queues were very long with waits of 15 minutes not uncommon and on a couple of occasions the rides were closed early, leading to disappointment.

Talking of disappointment, the pool isn't open all day so even though there is a poolside cafe it closes with the pool for 1.5 hours over lunch meaning you also need to plan your morning or early afternoon around the pool times if you want to get in for more than 1 hour. Finally, getting in and out. It's bedlam there are so many people and not enough changing areas and even if you do want to leave the pool at that time, you can't as you have to pass through a cubicle.

Finally, security. The park has a modern bracelet system for accessing your villa and storing activity tickets which also works as a locker key. Issue is, they don't always work and while the locker looks shut, it can pop back open. We fell foul of that and the result was the loss of all my daughters clothes, so we made sure to be extra vigilant after that.

Sounds negative but it was mostly OK, just want to share the "real" experience. Bigger is not...

What a fantastic place for families with kids! The indoor pool is amazing. Temperature is around 30C or 87F, so is the water. The pool is under a huge glass dome with palm trees inside. There are several pool areas and slides. The indoor pool connects to an outside area, where you can have fun under waterfalls, simulated currents, etc. Every 30 minutes, they make artificial waves in the main indoor pool. There is a separate pool for toddlers with sand. And another water playground with water cannons for kids. Supermarket, bars, restaurants are all located in the same building where the pool area is. Traffic is closed for motorized vehicles within the park. You either walk, bike, or use the golf carts available for rent to get from your cabin to the pool, restaurant, etc. There are also several outdoor playgrounds scattered over the park and one building features cool indoor playgrounds. Also available: tennis court, pony rides, adventure park, and a lot more....

Wir haben das Aqua Mundo mit zwei Kindern besucht. Das Wellenbecken startet alle 30min und hat den Kindern Spaß gemacht. An dem Kinderbereich mit den zwei Röhrerutschen haben wir uns immer eine ganze Weile verweilt. Für den Kleinkind Bereich waren unsere Kinder zu groß. Dazu kann ich nichts sagen. Der Wildwasserfluss ist ab einer Größe von 95cm zugelassen. Er ist ok, aber am Schluss ging es eine Rutsche ins Ausgangsbecken, das nicht ohne ist, weil es hier eine Unterströmung gibt, die selbst für mich als Erwachsene Kraft gekostet hat. Wir haben es dann so gemacht, dass ein Erwachsener erst ins Becken geht und dann den Kindern hilft aus dem Becken zu kommen. Der Wildwasserfluss im Center Park Allgäu ist da um weiten entspannter. Der Rutschenturm hat insgesamt vier Rutschen. Schade, dass drei dunkel sind. So sieht man nicht, wohin man fährt. Des einen Freud des anderen Leid. Weiterer Minuspunkt: Die Reifen für die Rutschen sind zu den Stoßzeiten schnell weg und waren gefühlt auch nicht gerade üppig vorhanden. Daneben gibt es noch eine breite Ruschte neben dem Turm, bei dem es zu Beginn eine Wasserphontäne von beiden Seiten zu bewältigen gilt. Wer kein Wasser im Gesicht verträgt, tut sich etwas schwer. Positiv zu sagen ist: sowohl im Wildwasserfluss und in der grünen breiten Rutschen kann man per Knopfdruck Bilder machen lassen, die man als Erinnerung mitnehmen kann. War nicht unseres. Das Strömungsbecken war klein und unspektakulär. Da ist das Aqua Mundo im Allgäu deutlich länger und schöner gestaltet. Hier macht sich sicher auch das Baujahr vom Bad bemerkbar. Kabinenduschen gab es nur im jeweiligen Toilettenbereich. Offene Duschen waren zäh, weil keine Brauseköpfen vorhanden sind, sondern nur ein Strahl und keine Temperatur eingestellt werden kann. Am Abend war eine Seite der Duschen nur kaltes Wasser vorhanden, brrrr. Zwischen 16 und 18Uhr ist es gut voll und da muss man Ruhe und Geduld im Becken haben. Die Spints für die Kleidung waren alle gleich groß und hatten keine Möglichkeit etwas aufzuhängen. Der Zugang ist ohne Kontrollen, d.h. man geht ohne Stau ins Bad rein und auch wieder raus. Fön waren vorhanden und haben auch funktioniert. Aber das Bad ist etwas in die Tage gekommen. Das fällt aber sicher nur als Erwachsener auf. Unsere Mädels hat das nicht gestört. Da wir zuvor im Aqua Mundo im Allgäu waren, schneidet dieses Bad deutlich...
