We walked through this beach on our way to two others that you can only reach by passing through here. It was quite a challenge, mainly because of the awful smell coming from the algae, heated up by the sun. The stench from both the nearby pond and the muddy beach itself was unbearable—just holding your nose wasn’t enough, and it really made you feel nauseous.
I have no idea how some people managed to sit there in their tents, but most seemed to be heading out by kayak or enjoying other water sports. Maybe it’s different at other times of the year, but in the second half of August, the smell was simply horrifying. The photos are of the island opposite which you need a kayak or boat to get to. We wasted half a day trying to understand this, really don't bother, there are so many good beaches on Corsica, unless you have a boat to go to the island comfortably, there's no point. Especially when you have to walk over a kilometre anyway from your car...

However is great to rent kayak, paddle or just swim to the island of piana and there you ll be good. Or just move along to the little or big sperone. Quite complicated parking and no indication.
