The residents blocked the public access to both Grand Sperone and Petite Sperone beaches as well as the Roman ruins. Everyone should be able to walk along those roads which are marked as public on the Internet... At the Golf Course, people can enter on foot the « private domain », but further down the road, at Plantarella, I was physically aggressed by a guardian/gardener when trying to do the same, then a resident (a woman) pushed me violently around. The guardian said « This is Corsica! » Needless to say, insisting seemed dangerous, so I gave up on going to the beach for the day and I will leave this area ASAP. So sad to see thousands of people parking on the roadside and then walking for miles around dangerous beaches to get to the good spots! Heartbreaking! You might want to check out the reviews for that beach too. But honestly, I highly recommend spending time here as well—the place looks amazing. Despite questioning whether it was worth it on the way over, it turned out to be totally worth it, and we had a...
Read moreBeautiful beach, well worth the adventure hike over some rocks, through the stinky Piantarella beach and down some small paths in the maquis.
Petit Sperone is a very sheltered beach that has clear water and soft white sand. There are no snack or toilet facilities on the beach, so do consider this before spending the day there.
As there is a bit of a trek to arrive at the beach, be mindful of how many items you are taking. It is not suitable for those with...
