Latour Marliac — Attraction in Villeneuve-sur-Lot

Bought over 550 euros of water lilies and lotus in 2023, ordered the lotus in the November for delivery the following April - 4 lotus arrived but one plant failed, contacted Latour-Marliac in July 2024 and they told me they would not refund my money for the plant but would send me a replacement for April 2025. I felt it prudent to ask for a bill of sale for the free plant - just in case I was forgotten as I had to wait 10 months for the replacement.

April came and passed and when I contacted the company in May it took 3 or 4 weeks to get a reply for them to say they had lost my order and the lotus that I was promised was no longer available so they agreed to send me a different type.

That plant never arrived and when I complained again I was told they would give me a store voucher! I refused and demanded a refund and finally it arrived today in my bank.

Now bearing in mind in my eyes I had spent quite a bit of money on plants for my lakes, the customer service was not that great and I felt a little cheated I had to wait 10 months for a replacement plant that never arrived only to be then asked if I wanted a voucher to spend again ........

Apart from the one plant that did not sprout any life I was very happy with the quality of the plants and the way they were packaged ....just let down by the...

Venus en amoureux, attirés par le cadre idyllique et le concert de musique irlandaise de dimanche soir dernier (très chouette le groupe d'ailleurs). La brigade était un peu paniquée, avec que des jeunes personnes qui - bien que sympathiques - n'avaient pas l'air de maîtriser du tout ce qui se passait (trois serveurs pour trouver notre table réservée, on nous a à deux reprises offert le plat d'une autre table, gros yeux quand j'ai demandé une crêpe au pruneau qui est à la carte "personne ne prend jamais ça, on en a plus". Ok, pourquoi pas...On est en Lot et Garonne et y a pas de pruneau.) L'intention de bien faire était quand même là, mais essayez d'avoir au moins une personne plus expérimentée pour diriger l'équipe. Mais le gros problème de ce restaurant, c'est la nourriture. Gros attrape touriste. Déjà, pour un menu à 35€, il y a des Mr Freeze en dessert : ça annonçait la couleur. Tout était couvert de gros sel pour caché l'insipide des produits utilisés. Nos plats sont arrivés froids (avec bien 30min d'attente entre chaque plat d'ailleurs). Mon copain a eu en entrée une tartelette (c'est à dire un rond de pâte feuilletée avec des légumes posés dessus, littéralement) et en plat une tranche de viande très fine et même pas goûteuse, sans la sauce promise sur la carte. C'est la saison des tomates à Marmande, mais non :j'ai eu droit a du ketchup bien froid dans mon burger bien froid à la place d'une sauce maison facile à faire. Bref, de la "cuisine" bien générique, sans originalité, sans goût. C'est dommage car on a envie de passer un beau moment dans ce cadre magique, mais la nourriture ne suit pas du tout et la salade verte comble les assiettes, mais bien peu l'estomac. Ca m'a fait mal de payer...

Wonderful water lilies gardens and other water plants. This is the place where Monet bought his water lilies in 1894. 3 ha of ponds and gardens and and water garden centre.On Sunday night dinners with music during summer months. At dinner time,music was superb so was the location.But unfortunately there were not enough staff and food to cater for not very large number of people(sic)Big let down.Maybe lunch would work better.And we traveled specially for the set dinner and music,it was disappointing.Ruined by total lack...
