For over 20 years this is an excellent location to eat. Great quality of food, good wines and a perfect friendly staff. Besides French they also speak good English, and there is a lot of flexibility in response of your demands. Simply: it is easy to enjoy yourself here. Ordering a vegan meal was also a big success. The best vegan food we ever saw in France. Tasted good, looked good. The duck in all different ways are all excellent here. Environment is nice, you can sit outside at a small pond, the restaurant is spic and span clean!
2025 adjustment: The pond is gone, but you still sit outside next to water... The food still has high quality. They also have an excelent wine menu. This year some of our group where also specially impressed with the icecream that was part of the desert. Staff is very friendly and take real good care of you. The egg starter and creme brulee dessert were very good, unfortunately after waiting over an hour for our main meal, all four steaks arrived extremely rare, to the point of being unchewable and were all sent back to the kitchen (complete with chewed pieces on the plates). These were then simply reheated and sent back out (even the chewed pieces 🤢) on the same plates and were given to the closest recipient (again 🤢). When staff were approached, initially they were apologetic, but when the 'head waiter' heard of our complaint, his response was 'impossible, we could not possibly replace these steaks' and he stormed off to the kitchen. For a quality restaurant to present reheated bits of chewed steak next to a second hand, warmed up cut that now resembled a piece of leather that had previously belonged to someone else, I just couldn't recommend this place, very disappointed and disgusted. This was supposed to be my 32yr wedding anniversary meal Nous sommes allés déjeuner un jour férié (jour férie). L'entrée aux œufs et le dessert à la crème brûlée étaient très bons, malheureusement après avoir attendu plus d'une heure pour notre plat principal, les quatre steaks sont arrivés extrêmement saignants, au point d'être inmâchables et ont tous été renvoyés en cuisine (avec des morceaux mâchés dans les assiettes). Ceux-ci ont ensuite été simplement réchauffés et renvoyés (même les morceaux mâchés 🤢) dans les mêmes assiettes et ont été donnés au destinataire le plus proche (encore une fois 🤢). Lorsque le personnel a été approché, il s'est d'abord excusé, mais lorsque le « maître d'hôtel » a entendu parler de notre plainte, sa réponse a été « impossible, nous ne pouvions pas remplacer ces steaks » et il s'est précipité vers la cuisine. Firstly we were told that the restaurant was full - I pointed to a vacant table and it became available. Menus and wine list were provided and then, behind us and in earshot (I understand French) a debate ensued. Within two minutes we were told the restaurant was full and “due to regulations” we had to leave. I can only imagine that the regulations were being applied according to what may have been determined as spending power.
