Beautiful and informative curatorial tour of major plant biomes. Very strong collection of palms and cacti. Signage and materials for establishing contexts could be stronger. Historic photos are in horrible condition.

Lincoln Park is possibly more child friendly due to the zoo and children's activities, but both botanical gardens (Lincoln Park and Garfield Park) are relatively complementary and have their own relatives strengths and voices, so visit both!

Honestly it's beautiful but there is alot drug addicts around using be careful you will see alot of used drug paraphernalia. Like dirty hyper dermic needle,pipes,dealers, but they don't bother you . Unless you are looking for trouble it's fine if you have small Children becarful they don't ťouch anything or pickup stuff of ground. As far conservatory it's beautiful definitely check that out that's clean, nice. The park that's whole different story!
