Why these places need to be on your list 👇 1️⃣ Cochem Cochem is a picturesque town nestled along the Moselle River in the west of Germany. It’s known for its stunning medieval castle Reichsburg, perched on a hill overlooking the town. We highly recommend going on a boat trip to admire the town from the water. 🏰🚤 2️⃣ Island of Amrum Amrum is such a gem. Located in the North Sea, it’s known for its pristine sandy beaches, dunes, and heathland. The island is best explored by bike, and you’ll find the cutest little cafes there. There are also options for birdwatching and, most importantly, lots of tranquility. 🏖️🚲 3️⃣ Bavarian Forest Did you know that the Bavarian Forest is Germany’s first national park? It boasts dense forests, beautiful lakes, and rugged mountains, offering amazing opportunities for hiking, cycling, and wildlife spotting. Among Germans, it’s a really popular place, but it still gets overshadowed by the Alps in terms of tourism. 🌲🏞️ 4️⃣ Geierlay Suspension Bridge Located in the Hunsrück region of Germany, the Geierlay Suspension Bridge is one of the longest pedestrian suspension bridges in Germany and offers amazing panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. 🌉 5️⃣ Moselle Loop The Moselle River has countless twists and turns, but the most beautiful one, in our opinion, is near the town of Bremm. You can enjoy this view from various lookout points, take leisurely boat rides, or wander through the vineyards. Our favorite lookout spot is the “Moselle Loop Kröv.” 🍇🏞️🍇🏞️ 🇩🇪Deutsch in den Kommentaren #visitgermany #travelgermany #germanytravel #deutschlandistschön #urlaubindeutschland #urlaubzuhause #kurzurlaub #germanytrip #hiddengem #germanytourism #travelblog #travelguide #travelitinerary #traveltips #reiseblogger #reiseziele #reiseinspiration #reiseführer #traveler #travelnow #reiselust #reiseplanung #reisewelt #bestdestinations #bucketlistadventures #bucketlisttravel

🇬🇧 Here is everything you need to know for a visit to Geierlay, the second-longest suspension bridge in Germany (360 metres) 📍Location: Mörsdorf, Rhineland-Palatinate ❗️Depending on your chosen car park, you need to walk at least 20 minutes to the bridge! You won‘t be able to drive to the bridge by car! 🚘 There are four different car parks in Mörsdorf. The closest one to the bridge is the one at the visitor centre (P1), where you can park your car for 10 €/day. But please note: The website tells you that the parking lot opens at 6 am but this was not the case when we visited the bridge. It opened at 7 am and therefore we parked our car at the side of the road, which technically was not allowed. 👉 The other three parking lots are open 24 hours a day but you will need more time to walk to the bridge. ⏰ The best time of day for taking photos without any other people is sunrise! Would you like to visit the bridge on a trip to Germany? . . . . . #geierlayhängeseilbrücke #suspensionbridge #deutschlandliebe #germanytourism #deutschlandtour #bestplacestogo #dronelife #gelobtesland #germanytravel #germanytoday #igersgermany #wheretogonext #bridgesofinstagram #hängeseilbrückegeierlay #hängeseilbrücke

Visiting the Geierlay Suspension Bridge with friends was a memorable experience, especially on a Sunday. The walk leading up to the bridge gave us a chance to enjoy the peaceful surroundings and chat, though the trail did get busier as we approached the bridge. The sight of the suspension bridge, stretching across the valley, was stunning and definitely worth the anticipation. Highlights: Incredible Views: The panoramic views from the bridge were breathtaking, with the valley and forest below looking especially picturesque. We took our time soaking it all in and taking plenty of photos. Exciting Adventure: Crossing the 360-meter-long bridge with friends was an exhilarating experience, especially when the wind picked up slightly and we felt the bridge sway. It added an extra thrill to the walk! Great Group Activity: Sharing the excitement with friends made the visit even better. We were all in awe of the scenery and the unique experience of walking so high above the ground. Minor Downsides: Busy on Sundays: As expected for a weekend, the bridge was a bit crowded, which made it hard to fully appreciate the peacefulness. But it also meant a lively atmosphere with other hikers and visitors. Parking Challenge: Finding parking wasn't too difficult, but we did have to pay a fee and walk a bit to reach the bridge. It’s worth noting for future visits. Overall, it was a fantastic day out, perfect for an adventurous group looking for stunning views and a unique experience in nature!

Suspended bridge in Mörsdorf, 70km from Trier. Take note of the following (as of 19th December 2020) - the area gets dark around 5 pm. The bridge is not illuminated. Take this into consideration if you visit in the afternoon - even in normal weather conditions, wind shakes the bridge a bit (you’ll feel it when you stop in the middle of the bridge to take pictures). Not recommended for easy panic people - due to Covid 19, the bridge can only be crossed in one direction (from Mörsdorf to Sosberg). This is the rule but nobody follows it, especially now during Christmas time when there are fewer tourists and there is enough space on the bridge to walk back. - if you follow the rule and cross in only one direction, you come back to Mörsdorf through a hiking trail which is around 6.5 km long and it’s full of mud in this time of the year. Bring appropriate shoes!! - you can’t park in front of the bridge (as everyone would love to). There are parking areas in Mörsdorf (big enough for few hundred cars), and then one has to walk around 20-30 minutes to get to the bridge. - crossing the bridge is FREE. You only pay parking.
