Fantastic experience and truly an unforgettable day we had.. We arrived and a truck fest weekend event which was also in full swing which we were not expecting and made our visit even more memorable.. Don't have to be into trucks to enjoy.. many different models parked up old and new... amazing to see... They were also racing on the second track...wow.. Nurumgring is an amazing place much bigger than I expected.. With spectacular viewing points along the length of the track to see cars of all makes and models attempting to negotiate twists and turns...at speed Not for the faint hearted... But it's open to anyone so occasionally you can see the "I just want to say that I driven the nurburgring " Personally I was taken around in my son's race set up BMW... believe me going down the straight at a 140mph.. and negotiating corners at speed is so auxilerating.. but more importantly what a memory we have !!!... For those who would like an experience of going around but don't fancy driving then use the ring taxi experience... FYI...No1.. rule of the track...no lap timings... Go fast.. and enjoy it's not a race... believe me no matter how fast you think you can drive... there will be some who will overtake you faster... My advice is just enjoy the experience.. there's nothing like it... Or you can simply watch as a spectator and enjoy everything that the nurumgring has to offer.. Nurumbergring museum well worth a visit.arond €11...shops.. cafes Prices for the track is.. Week day..€30.. Weekend..€35... Can be purchased on the day or in advance.. Personally I would suggest purchasing on the day... your not sure how many times you are going to be able to negotiate the track as it both physically and mentally demanding.. and very demanding on your vehicle... Car park near the entrance and exit to the track is free... Facilities around the entrance and exit are.. Track ticket purchase booths.. toilet's.. gift shop and cafes... Will definitely return in the future... even though we drove from the UK.. Don't forget to enjoy the thrill of speed on the auto bahn along the way.. I did even in my...
Read moreAbsolutely amazing track, a real blessing that this place still is accessible and enjoyable for just €30 on a weekend. Organisation is chaotic, and totally overwhelmed by the sheer numbers of visitors. Staff are pushed into the role of "crowd control" rather than customer service for most of the day, resulting in shouted orders and a high level of 'assumed knowledge' being placed on the customers and guests. Lots of easy-to-miss signs and instructions, zero safety briefings, and the world's most dangerous racetrack doesn't magically get easier for the novice with high expectations and low experience. Fatalities amongst first-time visitors continue to be a none-zero number most years, and yet no effort is made to make briefings mandatory, for fear that the bubble will burst.
Traffic management is all about keeping cars on the track as long as possible, and the staff are instructed to route all exiting vehicles through the car park, rather than directly out of the exit. On a hot day this only adds to the copious fluid spills and overheating.
If this is your first time here, look for a local company with lots of experience to help smooth out the rough edges and you can have a...
Read moreAn incredible experience, but you must be alert, be aware and keep out of other drivers way to stay safe. Leave the ego and the competitive streak at home and you will have an absolutely fantastic experience that simply cannot be replicated elsewhere.
The atmosphere, the cars and the circuit itsell all come together to create an experience that is hard to put into words for any serious petrol head. Being overtaken by a 911 GT3 RS 'ring taxi's at full chat is something that does not leave you, especially if you are already 'going well'!
The tourist drive needs to be taken seriously and Motorsport is dangerous, but if you respect it and others around you it is an...
