Museum Bautzen — Attraction in Bautzen - Budyšin

The museum is a three-story establishment featuring a permanent exhibition centered around three aspects of this area: Region, City, and Art. I personally feel that the museum lacks a well-structured thematic approach, as it seems to organize its collections into different rooms without creating a cohesive thematic tour. The organization requires improvement, and the pricing is not clearly displayed. For instance, I requested a photography permit and was asked to pay 5 euros, which was not indicated on their website. This surprised me as I have never encountered such a high fee at museums in Berlin or elsewhere. Am Sonntag, dem 8.10.2023 wollte ich im Bautzner Museum die Ausstellung "Stadtansichten seit 1900" und die "500 Jahre Taucherfriedhof" ansehen. Für immerhin 7€ Eintritt! Ich bin dafür extra 1 Stunde früher aus Löbau abgereist. In diesem Museum schlug mir nach Öffnen der Eingangstür eine derartig schlechte und stickige Luft entgegen, das ich es nicht 2 Minuten in diesem Hause ausgehalten hätte. Auf die Frage, ob in den Ausstellungen der Sauerstoff auch so knapp sei, antwortete der sehr freundliche junge Mitarbeiter: ja, wir dürfen nicht lüften, weil sonst Insekten ins Haus kommen. Nun ja. Dann kann zumindestens ich, als wirklich interessierter Besucher der imposanten Stadt Bautzen allerdings dieses Haus auch nicht länger betreten. Sehr schade.
