Pankow Museum - Heynstraße location — Attraction in Berlin

Visited this museum two weeks ago as an enthusiast of interior design. Although it is only 3 rooms + kitchen and toilet, my experience was very positive thanks to lovely staff!!! A Very friendly lady explained all the background story, gave a tablet to follow up in the rooms and presented cast iron utensils in the kitchen. She also printed an English manual for me to read later on. I was also able to visit the backyard and see little shed there. Can't give 5 stars since it takes around 30 minutes top to see everything and without that friendly staff, it would be rather a plain experience. But if you want to see how beautiful the walls+doors once in Berlin, just drop by! How the esperience could have been improved (in my opinion): -Use really large prints for all the photos that have been taken inside the flat in 1890s and place all the information around also on many objects. So vistors have something to read even for old curtains+lace tulle+heating system+toilet func. etc. Tablet is great idea however not everybody is able to listen loudly for all the rooms. -Present before and after pictures, I have seen cool stuff about restoration but they are rather hidden and deep in the corners. Instead of photos, a wall could have been left half-renovated so we notice the huge effort behind it much better. -Could be a TV at least in one of the rooms, showing historical background or simply lifestyle. -Experience is never forgotton. One touch/interact activity would elevate...

Nice idea, good intentions, preserving and presenting upper middle class life in Berlin in the turn of 19century to 20century, worth a look in if you're in the area anyways or passing by. It takes 20min top to cover, nice to add a stroll in the neighbourhood to check the various approaches...
