Museum Festung Dömitz — Attraction in Dömitz-Malliß

Very interesting place to visit. Unfortuntelyn while all the warning signs are in 3 languages all the information is not. You need to read German to get the most out of your visit. Do not let that put you off from visiting. Your entrance fee goes to support valuable restoration work.

Parking nearby is free and its a great place for a picnic or to go hiking. The town is very quaint and pretty. Worth seeing.

„Im Grunde“ gesperrt, Krämerladen verschlossen, Fritz-Reuter-Haus weiträumig abgesperrt, Aufbauarbeiten für eine Bühne im Innenhof… ganz schlecht ausgeschilderter Rundweg, mittelmäßig gut gepflegte Grünanlage - die gammligen Äpfel auf dem Weg liegen dort schon einige Wochen. Insgesamt kaum etwas zu sehen. Die Bilder haben die erwachsenen (Kulturbanausen?!) wenig interessiert - unsere Kinder gar nicht. Dafür 12,50€ für zwei Erwachsene und ein zahlendes Kind finde ich ziemlich happig… Letztes Jahr haben wir uns im Vorfeld nicht über die Testpflicht informiert und durften daher nicht hinein. Wir sind dann nur um die Festung herumspaziert und haben den Besuch im Inneren auf einen späteren Zeitpunkt verschoben. Hätten wir es mal ganz gelassen... Zwei Sterne weil ich finde das die Festung viel...
