Kuhfluchtwasserfälle — Attraction in Farchant

It's a nice hike with a waterfall at the end as you can see in the pictures. It's not the Victoria Falls so don't expect a huge waterfall, but it is very nice. I'd guess it's about a mile (~2500m) all the way to the end, one way. There are some short sections that are a bit steep, so be aware of that. At the end of the trail there is an extra stairway you can climb that takes you back to another area of the falls. The stairs and the path are steep as well. All the steep areas are short, maybe around 100m or 200m long, so the "tough" parts don't last for long. Also for people not familiar, there are 2-3m wide "gates" that you have to open in a couple of spots to get to the trail. Just go ahead an open them to get through and then close them behind you. Pictures NEVER do a place justice. This is a beautiful trail with at least 3 falls, the bigger one being the one noted in Google Maps. Definitely worth a visit. The water is ice cold and you get a good mist standing at the bigger water fall. I am sure this would be amazing in the summer! The trail is a bit steep in some sections, but very well maintained. No stairs to the falls, but I’m not sure I’d brave taking a stroller on this trail. I don’t recommend flip-flops. Wear at least some solid hiking sandals. Alternative route if the Partnachklamm is not opened. Good route along the waterstream with some smaller falls and water basins. In the hot sommer months a good place to cool down and take a bath. There are benches on the way to take a sit and eat some snacks. The way to the stream is equipped with interesting information and questions about the local flora. The tour takes about two to three hours and is perfect for a family with smaller children. Take care if you want to try how far you can jump and compare with some animals.
