Ristorante Pizzeria da Nico, located within the cozy Ferienwohn-Anlage Farchanter Alm holiday apartment complex in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, is a truly wonderful Italian family restaurant.
The warm owners and incredibly fresh ingredients were particularly impressive. We started our meal with a delicious Potato Avocado Cream Soup, which was even better with its melon topping. For the main course, we chose the Caprese Baby Veal; while the ingredients were top-notch, it was cooked just a touch more than my personal preference. However, its light and completely non-greasy tomato sauce made it excellent. It also paired fantastically with the acidic Barbera d'Asti Superiore Piemont wine.
The Green Linguine with Shrimp had a wonderful rich shrimp broth, though the shrimp's doneness was slightly less than ideal. On the other hand, the Monkfish was absolutely perfect! We finished our meal delightfully with strawberry and vanilla ice cream.
Visitor tips: Parking within the complex can be limited, so keep in mind street parking is available just a 5-minute walk away. If you prefer outdoor seating, I highly recommend booking in advance as it's very popular. The wine list, while concise, offers good options at reasonable prices, so wine lovers should definitely check it out.
The owners contributed to the friendly atmosphere – one from Venice, and the other can even count in Korean! And it's fascinating how Bavarian food, even with cream, is surprisingly light and never greasy. As someone who usually craves spicy ramen when traveling, I haven't felt the slightest urge for it here for days – a testament to Bavaria's...
Read moreVery solid Italian spot tucked away in a corner of Farchant. Since we were here in winter for dinner, we didn't get to see the beautiful view from the terrace, which is a major draw for this place, so it's a bummer we only got to see the inside, which isn't quite as cozy as we'd hoped. But the food is delicious -- so much so that my date and I both got a pasta (Frutti de Mare and the Rigatoni Casa, respectively) and a Pizza Regina to share, and we ate every last bite of everything! And even though we were stuffed, we had to get the tiramisu for dessert and regret nothing. But the real star of Da Nico is the staff. Everyone we interacted with was so sweet and friendly and made us feel like regulars from the moment we walked in. That made the meal so pleasant that I'd probably come back here again if I make it back to Farchant (which you should visit if you can!). Overall, we're very happy we decided to visit the local Italian joint, and...
MUSS hier her. Tatsächlich unbezahlte Rezension....
