Great place to visit if you are visiting anywhere near Frankfurt. The usual autobahn A5 exit Zeppelinheim/ Neu-Isenburg coming from south ( Darmstadt/Karlsruhe) has been temporarily closed due to construction work. Its better to follow google maps than to follow the car navigation. The alternative route can be confusing and you might end up driving on the road in the opposite direction. (A5 towards Basel). Be sure to get warm clothes and head gear, the place is windy.

Could do with some picnic benches! Car park is a 5 mins walk away through the woods. This spotting place has a building in front of it blocking lots of views of the runways which is disappointing. Some good views of planes landing and taxiing today despite the fog, but there are so many runways you really need to make a day of it and go to all the spotting places at the airport. There are telescopes you can pay 50 cents to use.

Tolle Plattform und eine tolle Aussicht direkt auf den Frankfurter Flughafen. Es ist ein tolles Erlebnis, ob unter Tags oder beim Sonnenuntergang oder bei Nacht. Es starten und landen alle paar Minuten Flugzeuge es fliegen kleinere oder auch größere Maschinen. Es gibt drei verschiedene Aussichtsplattformmen zwei an einem Parkplatz von beiden Seiten mit dem Auto oder auch mit dem Wohnmobil anzufangen. Da kann man auch mal bisschen länger stehen und zu der die andere Plattform sogar hinlaufen, ist aber ein (bisschen )weit. Die finde ich auch total cool. Die andere hat einen etwas höheren Betonplattform, wo man hoch kann und sie auch beim starten beobachten kann. Und die dritte ist hier finde ich auch total schön. Ich finde alle drei Perspektiven total schön. Hier kann man sogar auf die Autobahn runter schauen und fotografieren. Dieser Spot ist auch nachts total schön. Wenn die Sonne untergeht ist es traumhaft und bei Nacht hat es noch mal eine ganz andere Stimmung. Die bunten Lichter ist einfach magisch.;) noch einen Tipp man kann es auch ganz gut mit dem Handy aufnehmen, wenn man ein bisschen fit ist. Ich habe alle Bilder mit dem Handy aufgenommen..

If you want to take pictures, consider that in the afternoons and night (during the summer) the sun will be direct to you. So you must go in the morning if you want to take good pictures.

The planes landing lanes are very far and there is a building in the line of sight. It definitely worth a visit.

If you go by the end of the day, wait for the sunset. It's amazing moment.

There is a free parking lot approximately 500 meters away, you walk through a forest until you reach the site which is near the runway approach.
