Zoo Hamm — Attraction in Hamm

The zoo Hamm is a full-fledged, scientifically managed zoo and offers a very special zoo experience from the tiger to the mouse. Around 550 animals in 80 species can be discovered up close. You can touch the albino kangaroos "Flocke" and "Wolke" in the walk-in kangaroo. Small zoo compared to other zoo’s in big cities. Perfect place to take kids with especially if the weather is good. The zoo does not have lion / elephant but many other animals that are interesting. We had spent around 4.5 hours with kids and families togather. There was a cafe offering Pommes, nuggets, etc inside the zoo but we had to wait for about 25 mins to get 6 coffee and 2 Pommes which was too much time consuming. Dieser Tierpark hat mich positiv überrascht. Er ist größer als ich anhand der Beschreibung erwartet hatte. Er ist wirklich sehr schön gestaltet und gut begehbar zu Fuß sowie mit Kinderwagen oder auch Rollstuhl. Es gibt begehbare Vogelvolieren und teilweise auch (besonders schön für Kinder) Gehege. Alpakas und z. B. Ziegen können mit artgerechtem Futter, welches man am Automaten kaufen kann, gefüttert werden. Für Kinder gibt es mehrere Spielplätze.

Ich rate dazu, etwas zum Essen mitzunehmen. Es gibt mehrere schöne Picknickplätze. Die einzige Imbissbude im Park war zur Mittagszeit sehr überlaufen und man musste lange aufs Essen warten. Sitzmöglichkeiten dort gibt es nur wenige und man muss sich etwas suchen. Die Preise sind im Rahmen.

Insgesamt ist alles sauber und auch die Tiere und Gehege sind gepflegt. Es befand sich überall frisches Futter und in den Volieren ausreichend Obst. Ein Kritikpunkt für mich ist das Tigergehege. Ich empfinde es als zu klein. Auch die Paviane sitzen hinter Gitter sehr beengt. Das Schild am Gehege weist auf die "Senioren" hin. Aber auch diese hätten sicher gerne mehr Freiraum.

Der Tierpark ist gut zu erreichen. Es gibt ausreichend Parkplätze. Auch mit den öffentlichen Verkehrsmitteln ist er gut zu erreichen. Alles ist gut ausgeschildert.

Ich habe dort 5 Stunden verbracht, die im Nu verflogen sind. Gerne werde ich wiederkommen und kann den Tierpark...
