Untreusee — Attraction in Hof

Untreusee is quite possibly the whole package. Going around the lake, is a 9km walkway/cycle track that takes you across different landscapes - there are intermittent pine forests, across which if you trek up, you reach the Bismarck Eich, a tree that was planted by Otto v. Bismarck on his 80th birthday, with a view across a landscape with green meadows and windmills, there are also fields of rapsol flowers that you encounter, in the right season, and small bridges across the lake. The lake is clean, there are a lot of water sports activities, you can buy food and drinks, run/jog/hike around the lake, visit the children's playground, go to the nearby labyrinth, just stroll or have a small party with friends. The public order office makes sure that it doesn't get too loud or that rubbish doesn't remain behind. There is also a dog beach, as well as free parking. In summer the lake is of course quite crowded, but that's the case everywhere.
