Mindelburg — Attraction in Mindelheim

It was built and designed to be a fortress around 1148, it became the habitat of Georg Frundsberg, who had a significant influence on the the shape and future of Mindelheim. Today, a printery is using and maintaining several buildings there. Also, there's a restaurant with odd hours and food. Most parts of the castle are freely accessible including the original water well and defence towers. It offers you an awesome view from whole mindelheim, some quiet spots to sit and watch and some cannons with sculptures to admire. Schöne Burganlage welche nur von aussen besichtigt werden kann. Interessant ist der Brunnen im Innenhof. Bedauerlicherweise ist der Aussichtsturm der eine herrvoragende Aussicht auf Mindelheim und das Allgäuer Alpenvorland bietet wegen Corona geschlossen. Dies ist für mich absolut nicht nachvollziehbar, da sich in den letzten Jahren in denen ich den Turm besucht habe selten mehr als 3 Personen auf der im Freien liegenden Aussichtsplattform befunden haben. Ab Ende Oktober ist der Turm über den Winter geschlossen. Somit macht es in diesem Jahr nicht mehr viel Sinn die Mindelburg wegen der...
