In summary: it's nice to visit once if you are close by and have kids. But not really worth a second visit, specially considering the price. 3h is more than enough time to see everything and have lunch if you have kids. Without kids you probably only need 2h.
Pros: the pirate ship decoration is very nice kids have interesting things to discover the food is tasty and there are also healthy options kids can enter a pirate ship there is an aquarium with fishes that you can see from above and under water inside the cave of the main pool the loungers are well spread out and in quiet areas so you can have a bit of privacy the woman's showers on the top floor have a high chair / bathtub combo for babies up to 11 kg
Cons: it costs 3/4 of the Therme Erding but it has much less than 1/5 of the space and attractions. The facilities are also way worst and older than in Erding not possible to reserve entrance during the week. You have to wait until someone leaves to enter. We waited 1h in line with a baby (mostly without shadow) the family changing area doesn't have changing cubicles. It's assumed that all families are ok with being naked around other families. If you are not into the nudist scene you should go to the normal changing area. Otherwise to dress after showering, you will need to carry all your belongings (together with a tired baby) between your locker in the family changing area and the cubicles in the normal changing area. the rubber plugs on the water course in the baby pool had mold there are no family or couples loungers and it's not possible to make a bigger surface by joining 2 single loungers so it's hard to lye down with a baby. there are swimming courses in the main pool (don't know why they don't use the swimming pool instead...) so the space you are allowed to use is even less (on an already not very big pool) there are no family showers The photo on the company's website show giant Legos floating on the indoor children's pools but that must be an old photo as there were none...
Read moreBeware: People with medical issues are discriminated by the management! I've been a customer for over 10 years now, but I sadly had to realize that the management has decided to discriminate against people with medical issues. In particular, I have a genuine notice by a doctor stating that I have a medical issue, that, when I wear an FFP2 face mask, I have trouble breathing, most likely will get a headache, and so on. So, I was wearing just a medical mask, which I can wear for a short while without having too much trouble. When I was just about to enter, I was intercepted by a crew person, which asked me to put on an FFP2 mask. I told her about my medical issue and the notice of the doctor. She didn't even look at it and just stated, that -even if the notice was genuine - they wouldn't accept it and that they have the "sanctity of the home" and therefore have the right to decide who they let in and who they don't. I insisted on talking to the highest ranked management person present. A few minutes later, another woman showed up. I repeated what I told the crew person, and she confirmed that policy, pointing out that they cannot distinguish between genuine and fake mask exemptions and so, they prevent all persons who cannot wear an FFP2 mask from entering. This, in my eyes, is a very arrogant and highly contemptuous behavior. They clearly crossed my red line of what is tolerable, and what is not. Even if it was not me being the affected person, I could not and would not support such a morally questionable attitude by being their paying customer. I will not go back to this thermal...
Read moreA small scale of water retreat center in the region that benefits the locals in the good way.
It does not have outstanding facade or beautiful interior design but do have the saunas that most people enjoy. Affordable price and clean facilities even though they are old fashioned.
I have keeping visiting this place for over 14 years for the reason of convenience and saunas.
It takes 30 minutes drive to get over here from Augsburg. Most of time the guests are seniors and there’s not much visitors in the pool. Thereby I feel a sense of relaxation. Besides the national holidays are the unusual crowded days that the visitors should be aware of.
The most obvious downsides are the small entrance area and along the way to the locker room and public toilets, that is absolutely a terrible space arrangement. It’s not only small and narrow but also confusing about direction. The flow control is also out of hand in the beginning....
