Recently visited this beautiful Schloss and really enjoyed it! It’s a very interesting and photogenic place with a lovely water body surrounding the building, which adds vibrant and lively vibes — especially on sunny days. Although the Schloss is currently used as a Finanzhochschule and indoor entry isn’t allowed, the area around it is perfect for a walk or picnic. There’s also a fancy, sophisticated bistro on-site. Read moreI went there with my mom. I strongly recommend it to visit! It was like a heaven 😍. You cannot visit inside the castle but outside is beautiful enough to go there. The nature was amazing and people around there were so friendly. Everyone said hello when I was passing by. To go there you need to go to Dortmund Hbf and take a train (RB50) to Münster direction and in Capelle Bahnhof you should get off the train and take a bus (R53) to the direction of Schlosspark Nordkirchen. One heads up for English speaking visitors - I am still not sure how to arrange an English language tour in advance, but if you show up on the weekend one can be arranged, but it's quite pricey for them to bring in a guide same day.
