As newcomers to hiking, we were initially apprehensive about tackling the Gisalpsee trail, given its reputation for difficulty. However, the allure of its breathtaking scenery proved irresistible, and we embarked on the adventure.

Setting off at 9:30, the first leg of the journey along the paved road was manageable, punctuated by refreshing breaks. Reaching a quaint restaurant, we replenished ourselves with drinks and snacks before pressing on. The trail became more challenging, strewn with gravel and lacking a clear path. Yet, the well-worn markers left by previous hikers guided our way. For those considering this trail, sturdy hiking shoes are a must, and trekking poles could offer added stability. Despite our leisurely pace and numerous breaks, we arrived at Gisalpsee by 2:30, rewarded with a vista that justified every hardship endured.

There is a nice little Hike into the Oytal. The start is quite steep but afterwards it's only a really light steep mostly which makes it easy to medium hike. After roughly 5km you reach a Restaurant where you can get something to eat and drink. And for the way down, if you want to, you can rent a scooter to roll downhill into the City where you return it. Makes it a nice fun activity for a...

Everywhere you look it's just beautiful! We were at schrecksee, it's the highest lake in Germany, it's just beautiful! If you look carefully and you have a little bit of luck too, you could see chamois and alpine marmots. Till now, I climbed 3 times up to schrecksee, it's very hard hiking trail but...
