Holland-Park — Attraction in Panketal

In general, it's a nice place with a lot of potential. Since it's still quite new, the facilities are modern and in good condition. However, the indoor playground could definitely be cleaner – there’s visible dust and sand, which suggests it’s not being cleaned daily. It would also make more sense to have a no-shoes policy for adults in the play area to keep it more hygienic for children.

One thing I don’t understand is the process for annual pass holders – if we already have a yearly ticket, why do we still need to queue every time just to get a wristband? It feels like an unnecessary waste of time and could be streamlined.

While the ticket prices are fair, the food prices are truly excessive. Paying €11 for a small portion of fries and a spoonful of currywurst (mostly sauce) feels unreasonable. Offering a 10% discount at the garden center for ticket holders is a nice gesture, but maybe consider extending that discount to the restaurants as well.

Despite these issues, we still like the place and plan to visit since we’ve purchased the annual passes. That said, we were happier with our experience at Karls – it was cheaper and offers more attractions plus doscount on food which is more affordable.

An excellent place to spend the day with family. I like how they organized the pricing - there is no entry fee for the place itself, and the playground area outside is also free. You'll only pay for the indoor play area, the slide tower (Rutschenturm), the climbing hall (Kletterhaus) and the animal house. And they have separate tickets, so you can actually pick which ones you want to visit and pay only for those.

The garden center has some exotic and rare plants, along with the regulars. The restaurant offers delicious foods which you pay by weight 😊

Things are a tad bit expensive, but again, you can legitimately get by without spending anything, if you want to. It seemed to me that you can also bring your own food, although I didn't have any with me, so can't say it for sure.

The Rutschenturm is awesome. It offers six slides of varied difficulties, and I can easily spend the entire day there.

If you take public transport to get there, note that you'll have to rely on bus number 893, which runs only once per hour. Keep that in mind and plan your commute accordingly. If you come by car, there's also enough parking space.

Update 08.08.24:

Also, wurden vor kurzem laut Mitarbeiterin falsch abgerechnet, Karussell kostet für Kinder 5,50€ und für Erwachsene Begleitpersonen dann nichts, das war vor kurzem anders.

Da mussten wir für zwei Kinder und zwei Erwachsene 22€ bezahlen.

Größter Kritikpunkt für mich ist inzwischen das Restaurant.

Das kriegt nur einen Stern, es liegt regelmäßig fett vor dem Warmhaltebehältern, dass Essen wird nach Gewicht berechnet und die Saucen stehen halt im vorderen Bereich, wenn's wenigstens danach wäre.

Aber, bei der Eröffnung gab es anfänglich noch richtige Menüs (Roulade mit Rotkohl und Kartoffeln), inzwischen gibt es nur noch Pommes, Frikandel, Schnitzel, Fleischroketten und ähnliche Aufwärm- und Fritteuse Gerichte.

Wir haben für zwei Frikandeln, eine Fleischrokette, zwei Getränke und zwei Mal Pommes fast 33€ hingelatzt.

Nichts davon hat ansatzweise frisch geschmeckt, da empfiehlt es sich wirklich entweder A selber etwas mitzubringen B den Imbissstand vorne zu nutzen, da es frisch gemacht wird, zumindest macht es da den Anschein oder C gar nix zu essen.

Ich bin echt kein Knauserer, aber das war schlechte Qualität, in einem SB Restaurant, dass nicht Mal mithalten kann mit einer Imbissbude.

Inflation kickt richtig rein, also 6€ für ne Pommes, 4,95€ für ne Frikandel und 5,95€ für ne spezial 😂 (sind nur Zwiebeln extra)

Also, ich komme aus dem Grenzgebiet in der Nähe von Denekamp, Oldenzaal, Enschede und in Holland hab ich für ne Pommes nie mehr als 3€ bezahlt und je Frikandel war eigentlich immer zu billig um gut zu sein, also mehr als 2,50€ hat das auch nicht gekostet.

Ich bin eigentlich kein knauserer, aber n Menü Preis wäre nice, Getränk, Pommes und ne Frikandel zb. Wäre schon nett.

Ansonsten immer noch keine Raucherecken.

07.03.23 Update

Der Park hat sich gemacht, der Indoor Spielplatz macht echt was her, dass drei jährige schon 16/18€ (weiß nicht mehr genau) zahlen müssen wurde schon öfter bemängelt, genauso wie, das es keine Stunden Pakete gibt.

Ansonsten war heute leider die Imbissbude nicht auf, Frage mich warum, denn es haben ja Geburtstage stattgefunden und es waren drei Mitarbeiter an der Kasse schon Mal, da hätte ja auch jemand Pommes machen können.

Dafür gab es dann leckeres Eis, ist aufjedenfall ne Empfehlung, auch wenn die 1,90€ kostet

Was immer wieder auffällt ist, dass der Holland Park seine eigenen Regeln nicht kontrolliert, ich hoffe im Sommer wird das besser mit dem Rauchen z.B., wenn im Eingangsbereich ne Gruppe steht, raucht und alles zu qualmt ist das als Familie richtig unangenehm.

Ich habe nix gegen Raucher, im besten Fall entlasten die ja auch die Rentenkasse, aber bitte stellt euch doch einfach irgendwo hin, wo es niemanden stört.

Ansonsten war es für die Kinder super, aber mehr als zwei Stunde packen wir auch nicht, finde es schön, dass es eine Erleichterung für Schwerbehinderte gibt, jedoch ist die geringfügig, ein Familienticket für 4 Stunden kostet 48€, wir haben 44€ bezahlt, immerhin 4€ weniger, da gibs aber woanders deutlich mehr Entlastung.
