This castle is worth a visit if you enjoy great views, and are interested in history and the Nibelungenlied.
We parked our car, and then walked down the stairs to the castle. Right next to it is a restaurant, where my mother enjoyed a cool drink while we explored the castle itself.
The castle dates back to the 12th century, and one of its oldest parts is the 31 metre keep. What visitors will see first, though, is the bridge leading inside. Tickets can be bought in the room to the right, where you can also purchase some books and merchandise.
After a short walk through the courtyard, you head left to the first room, filled with information about the castle and those who built it. Then you can advance further, exploring all the rooms to your heart’s content. No problem. We only speak English unfortunately. The guide then proceeds to take our money for the tour. AFTER I pay and sign he then tells us the tour is only conducted in German.
