Currently the route is closed due to some trees which have fallen down and could be hazardous to pass. It’s a shame because it is an amazing hike for someone with a medium to good condition. I would not recommend the path for children under 8 as it’s multiple climbs and descents can make it straneous. Also note that good footwear is definitely welcome and if it has rained the path may be muddy and slippery at places.

Spectacular trail with exciting view points of the Saar valley. Hiking shoes and moderate conditions are a must. Approximately 250 height meters and 8,6km. A trail with and duration of around 2.5h. You can use the parking close the Kasteler Klause. From there you can start the tour, it’s a round trip!

Einer der Schönsten in der Region, die Kleine Runde ums Plateau nur 4.7km. Nach dem Einstieg ist man in Urlaub, soooo schön....Mein Tip .Ehrenfriedhof nicht verpassen Danke ♡ an alle die Ihren MĂŒll mit nehmen, der Gesamte Weg war so sauber, wie die Natur normalerweise sein sollte. ICH WAR BEGEISTERT ☆☆☆☆☆ Update 09/24 Danke an all die Fleißigen Helfer, welche die 95 Stufen Treppe und den gesamten Weg mit dem Freischneider vom Bewuchs befreit haben... Tolle Arbeit...♡ Und an das Dorf Kastel Staadt das sich hervorragend um diesen Weg kĂŒmmert .

Diese an der geschichtlich sehr interessanten Klause bei Kastel beginnende Traumschleife fĂŒhrt in unmittelbarer NĂ€he der Sandsteinformationen rund um das Kasteler Hochplateau. Der schmale Felsenpfad macht seinem Namen alle Ehre und lĂ€sst den Wanderer hautnah die Felslandschaft ("Runder Turm", "Pilsfelsen", "Altfels", ...) erleben. Immer wieder geht es an steilen AbhĂ€ngen vorbei, die herrliche Ausblicke ("Elisensitz", ...) in das Saartal gestatten. Ein anspruchsvoller, ca. 7 km lange,r aber sehr empfehlenswerter Wanderweg bzw.
