This place was a huge disappointment with awful customer service. I called a few days ahead of time and asked if tastings would be provided and was told yes. I did not elect to go on any tours because I was satisfied with what the employee told me about this place over the phone. When I arrived there with my friend that was visiting the staff seemed annoyed that we were there, and were very short and rude with us. I asked for a wine recommendation and the guy working seemed annoyed by that, even though he did recommend an excellent wine, it was the only positive part of the experience. My friend felt pressured to pick a wine she didn't really like because the employee was so rude and short with us, and she didn't feel comfortable asking to taste anything else. Menus were taken away from us while we were still looking, and the rest of the staff completely ignored us. We had a few glasses of wine, walked around the exhibits in the "museum" portion, paid, and got out of there immediately. It was a very negative and uncomfortable experience, and I will definitely not be returning here, total waste of an...

Very disappointing. For all of the advertising I expected a place to learn about wine making in the region and get to sample local wines. The exhibits were hidden and no one pointed you in the right direction. There was no wine tasting just the ability to purchase glasses of wine. And the two my wife and I sampled were terrible. We have drunk a lot of wine from the area over the years we have been in and out of Stuttgart and these were by far the worst. We did not finish them, but walked around the corner and had an enjoyable glass in the...

We walked the 2.2km up the hill from the train station, then back.

We went on a Sunday and there was only 3 other groups of people. It was nice to read about the wines, interesting big old building.

Afterwards asked about wines and sampling at the counter, we were given a menu, not much help, other people seemed to be getter an explanation of wines. It was not busy so could not interstate why the poor...

Interesting wine museum in Stuttgart that express the story and dewelopment of wineyards in BW. Its clear that wine quality not the best but good. Inside is full of historical samples from the old days. I like the old wine openers. At the entrance you can taste some local wines. It would make a better marketing if they include the wine tasting in the ticket and increase little bit the entrance fee:)

Very educational tour given by Mr Wolfgang Mack (probably the boss/owner, most likely a very experienced sommelier; I didn't ask). Overall great service, made us feel very welcome, like at a friend's house. He recommended us a fruity white (Collegium Wirtemberg, 2015 Müller-Thurgau feinherb) which was wonderful - the first white wine I actually liked, and I don't even drink.

The people there are very accomodating. The museum is not that big but it says a lot about the history of the place. It is better to be there at 2pm since a lot of visitors are coming in in later hours. Good to spend about 45 minutes to an hour, and after that visit the vineyards and the chapel on top of the hill.
