Very beautiful and humbling experience. Seeing the historical objects, and hearing the stories about those objects was just amazing. Not to forget the journey to this place, especially in summer, just green, and the road is between a forest....a beautiful forest with fresh air! Makes the walk to the castle enjoyable. The food at the restaurant was soooo delicious. I'm not sure what it's called in German, but I know it was lamb stew with a salad (since I couldn't eat the other sides they offered-health reasons) and you get to add what you like on the salad selection. Old castle turned into a museum and nursery for birds of prey (eagles, hawks, owls, vultures, etc). Great view overlooking the wheat fields and the town/city on top of the castle walls (where the archers would form up to defend the castle during a siege) and tower. You get to see the birds up close in their cages, and the bird show later in the afternoon was entertaining with these hunter birds flying just centimeters above your head in several occasions. Although the show is only in German, I enjoyed the experience very much. Would be advisable to go with a German speaking friend who could translate the key points though, especially the warnings in the beginning where the audience is told not to stand up during the show or not to touch the birds (they bite! especially if they misinterpret your move as an attack), etc. Overall a...
