When I read from another review in Google that this was a small museum, I was having second thoughts about visiting it. Thankfully my husband and I decided to go anyway because we were close and we love Bugatti. There are actually many stores with an elevator. It’s an extensive space with air conditioning and a well-structured, organized and very complete museum. What impressed me the most is how neat it was: no sign of dust at all! I have never seen a museum with so many old stuff, original tools and gears sooo clean!!! OMG! We came for the Bugatti, but we found a world of engineering, a paradise for geeks and motors fanatics. I have never seen so many different models of motor!!! There are original manuals and documents (the original old price lists!!!), original engines, original vehicles of all types, everything at the reach of your hands (unlike most museums). A whole history from the very beginning of motorized vehicles up to modern times. There are many units for simulating physics, parts and gears, all very well explained. Unfortunately, it’s all written in German, but the texts fit well in Google Lens for instant translation and the staff speaks English fluently. They also offer guided tours. The staff is very friendly, by the way. I find it a terrific place to take the children, with lots of buttons to press, turning cranks, all very user-friendly and easy to access. I would have loved it if I was a child… The curator prepared it all for school visits and the education of our young ones regarding engineering and technology. They also have an incredible section dedicated to the future engines, probably sponsored because they feature a lot of different projects from many known brands. Engines include different types of fuel, various battery technologies and even hydrogen. It was worth it. I recommend to anyone who travels to that region: Speyer, Manheim, Heidelberg or so. It will take at least a couple of hours to see it all. Beautiful museum. Different from all other Technology museums I have visited in Germany, so far. And the Bugatti are...

Ein must Go.

Beautiful place, handled with visible love to transport and other technics. You can find here medium range of hybrids, hydrogen fueled BMW 750lh or gorgeous Bugatti 57SC Atlantic. You can buy also some merchandise here as thematic vine, books etc. Parking available close to the building. I spent here 1h20min. Entry fee 8EURO.
