Basically Karl's amusement park is a very large property divided into several different indoor / outdoor areas each with there own amusements, rides and amenities. Entrance is 'free' but it's best to get a day-ticket for the kids so they can go on as many rides as they want without breaking the bank. The main theme is strawberries and the park itself has an old ranch feel to it which is a nice change from hi-tech and neon colours. The downside is some of the rides look very old and one wonders if modern safety regulations are met. (One ride broke down while we were there and the people on it had to be evacuated from it with ladders) The layout is easy to navigate and the two 11 year-old sprites with me managed to find their way around seamlessly. For the kids it's a really fun place to visit and they'll leave with a permanent grin. For me it was ok but mainly just to see the kids having fun without their mobile phones. Tips: #1 Download the Karl's app and save 5 euros on the day-ticket #2 Go on a overcast, drizzly day so the kid's don't have to wait an hour in line for every ride because of overcrowding #3 BYO vegan or gluten free food, Karl's doesn't serve modern menus #4 Bring a backpack so you can bring a few essential items like water bottles and rain coats for the kids. #5 You could bring your dog along but the dogs I saw there weren't enjoying themselves at all. All in all a worthwhile and enjoyable outing for families...
Read moreWell worth going. Lot of fun for kids, they can easily spend all day exploring different attractions. The entrance is free and only some attractions are paid. There are huge climbing structures, tall slides, indoor (entry from the store) and outdoor, mega big swings, bouncy castle like giant trampoline that you have to climb and so on. The rollercoaster has long queues - go only if you really want to. Ice world has an ice slide and many ice sculptures inside and it's pleasantly cold on a hot day. What I like most about this amusement park is the consistent style, interior and exterior design. It's no cheap plastik. It's feels natural and just good. Restaurants have kinda American diner feel in my opinion which isn't bad and suits the place. Speaking of restaurants, the food is fast food and mostly meat (wurst). This disappointed me as I was hoping for more strawberries in the menus :D The staff in one of the resto wasn't nice which was also disappointing. They have surprisingly good coffee and it's fair trade from a small cooperative. Way to go Karl's! On a downside we couldn't find water. Only sugary drinks, coffee and beer. This is a shame because spending sunny day outside you will need to drink water. Make sure to bring your own. The store has very good choice of pottery from Bolesławiec as well as enamel pots and other goods. Make sure to buy some...

*Attention To Details - Little Strawberries engraved everywhere, classy decorations in every corner and everything well kept, eye catching and clean. Even the stores and shopping areas are cute and fun.
*Environmentally Friendly - Drinks served in marmalade jars, real plates, cloth napkins, actual bars of soap and no plastic in sight. In addition to being environmentally conscious, such details add to the warm, friendly atmosphere.
*Saving Money - While admission is technically free, it would be easy to spend a small fortune on rides. They offer a €15,- day pass that covers many of the rides and attractions. The pass literally pays for itself within the first hour. There's also a yearly pass for just €35,- For anyone intending to visit a few times per year, the year pass is an amazing bargain.
*Exceptionally Child Friendly and Accessible - Lots to see and do around every corner. Many of the child friendly attractions are outdoors or in areas away from the stores and shopping areas (bless the soul of whoever planned this).
*Downsides - No designated smoking areas, or if there were, it wasn't enforced. The cigarette smoke was constantly noticable. It is a money generator, so one must "pay" close attention as it would be all to easy to walk in for free and leave bankrupt (GET THAT DAY PASS!) - Still, it's an easy 5...
