Interesting. History of Zweibruecken incredibly far reaching and involved. Went to talk and exhibition of China produced in town. Really good talk by Mrs Glueck. China only produced for 8 years, 250 years ago. Fantastic pieces of art. Also case with China set to serve hot chocolate. Used to belong to the Rothschild family. Well...

Nettes Museum mit dem Themenschwerpunkt Barock und einem gut gestalteten Biedermeierzimmer. Hinter dem Anspruch an ein breit aufgestelltes Regionalmuseum bleibt es aber leider weit zurück: keine Erwähnung finden z. B. die reichhaltige Industriegeschichte, bedeutende Personen wie Hilgard oder Mannlich, die umfangreiche Garnisongeschichte bis in die Neuzeit, wo Soldaten nahezu sämtlicher NATO-Staaten das Gesicht der Stadt prägten, den Nachkriegswohlstand mitbegründeten. Sehr interessantes, sehr gut geführtes Museum in historischem Gebäude mit wechselnden Sonderausstellungen zur Geschichte und Persönlichkeiten Pfalz-Zweibrückens. Die aktuelle Ausstellung zu Christian IV. ist sehr gut zusammengestellt und bietet einen umfassenden Einblick in alle Bereiche seines Lebens. Unbedingt die Führung buchen, am besten mit Frau Glück, der Leiterin des Museums, sehr sehr gut!...
