Kokkinokastro beach — Attraction in Alonnisos Municipality

Very beautiful beach with distinct character. The red colour of the soil is unique and gives it an exotic look. The beach itself is a combination of pebbles and red sand.

You have to park your vehicle higher and go to the beach on foot (less than 5'). You will also find a bar with sunbeds and umbrellas if you are not bringing along your own. Beautiful beach of small pebbles and thick sand. There are sunbeds but a large part of the beach is available for free (big plus). The water is crystal clear and calm also with strong northern winds, and has a shallow entrance which is good especially for kids. Parking is available at couple hundred meters from the beach, and access is via a well kept stair path. The beach bar is very cozy and made out of wood and there are no ugly concrete constructions like most other beaches...

Nice and clean beach with pebbles. We loved that there weren't to many people there and it was in general a quiet and cozy place. The color of the water was so clear and really enjoyable. Easy to reach from Alonnisos via e-bike, car or bus (would not recommend to walk there, as it gets too hot in the summer to walk).
