First the good: The beach is stunning. That is all! I have nothing more to add. Without a doubt, this is the most disappointing beach in Kefalonia. Let’s start from the “road” that leads to Korini Beach. This road is unacceptable. It is a torture for the car, tyres and the people inside it. You will enjoy the ride, even though it is riddled with sharp rocks that could flatten your tyre. It is also so narrow and curvy that two cars cannot pass on it (see the images). You can't drive fast there, obviously. This is about 15-20 minutes away. I can confirm that I have managed to scratch the bottom of my car on a couple of occasions, despite the car having a normal clearance of 11 cm. It's time to move on from the road. You will reach the "beach" at the end, with your car intact, at least three full tyres and a layer of dust over the car. You will have no problem finding a parking spot, as there will be nobody there. There is a bar that does not have a toilet or changing facilities. The beach is sandy, but only on the outside of the water. You will be amazed by the impressive size of the boulders inside – they are easily 10+ cm in diameter. If you go in, you won't be able to get out, especially if there are waves. To cut a long story short, this adventure was disappointing and a complete...

This has been my magical place that I often think of - even during labour!!! It's not a drive that a nervous driver would do to get to and that is the reason why it's not overcrowded or spoilt by anything. There used to be a very funky beach bar where you could chill in a hammock with a cool drink but they are now up the hill. There are no toilets and you need to bring food and drink if you want to stop for more than a couple of hours. Hubby and daughter did the 'clay' thing. Just go to the end of the beach and mix the clay with seawater - great for skin. Be prepared for doing the funny dance coming out of the sea as stony unless you wear shoes in. You have to love the idea of seeing nothing but a wilderness as a backdrop. Personally, I think it's incredibly beautiful, but you can make up your own mind if happy to negotiate the bad bits on...

Koroni is a beautiful sandy cove that lies around 22 km east of Argostoli, the capital of Kefalonia. It is a delightful sandy beach with few pebbles, surrounded by steep cliffs and lush vegetation. It used to be a haven for turtles, but the clay from the cliffs has made the sand quite dense, creating an inhospitable environment for the lovely small creatures. On the other hand, the same clay, which is found near a small creek, is said to be good for human skin; hence, visitors can use the substance and enjoy their personal self-spa session.

The beach remains unspoiled, ideal for those who prefer a more tranquil environment.

The beautiful bay is reachable through a track path. A parking area is...

Semi secluded beach with sun beds. Access is done via a dirt road but should not be an issue for most of the cars. Some parking spots available next to the beach but after 11 AM it tends to get a bit crowded. The beach is mostly sandy with a few pebbles scattered. Water is nice but not good for snorkel. Still one can go snorkel on the right side of the beach next to the coast for a decent experience. Two sun beds and an umbrella are 7 EUR for the day. No toilets on site and the closest taverna is 1km up the hill. Good experience overall and there are some turtle nests on the beach .
