DEI Beach — Attraction in Igoumenitsa Municipality

Dei is a very beautiful and clean beach. To get to the beach you need to walk approximately 30min from the end of the city marina (right turning before stairs which lead to Gallikos Mollos). The walk is little difficult because there are many ups and downs the hill you need to pass but the final destination is worth it. Road is marked so its very easy to get to the destination. Firstly you pass the turning for Zeri Beach and then you go 150m straight to the Dei Beach. You can also easily get there by car and there is a parking place before entrance. Sun Bar is the only beach bar/restaurant near the beach with prices for renting sunbeds of 4€ and beach umbrella for 2€. Dei Beach is marble with sand parts, surrounded with thick forest and big natural rocks and stones. There are many small clifs and one small cave making the beach more special and interesting for explorers. Water is super crystal clean and good temperature so the stay is even more enjoyable. There are some tiny fishes but they do not disturb. Beach is big enough so there is a plenty of space to bring your own beach equipment. I reccomend to come in the morning and stay all day long. They make great coffe for dine in and take away and one of the best fredo cappucino around (prices are slighty different for different option). Have a nice dinner at restaurant section and lay on the sunbeds under the trees where the shade stays throughout the day. Swimm in beautiful tuirquise water and enjoy the sun. Dei Beach is one of the greatest beach in Syvota enviroment, very beautifuly aranged and real greek alike oasis...

Don’t stay in this miserable place! Unfortunately, although the place is very beautiful, the people in the cafe and the umbrellas are unprofessional, super rude and have aggressive behaviour to the customers.

We were sitting in a table near the beach when the guy who owns the umbrellas appeared and started shouting that he is the boss and that we should leave immediately this place. When I told him that his behaviour was unacceptable, he was shouting more and started threatening us.

Two tourists who saw the incident, explained to us that this has happened before with others. Despite this, the owners of the cafe did not let us know in advance, but they served us. When we asked them why they did not explain to us that the umbrellas guy is aggressive, they did not respond. Bottom line: don’t stay there, there are much more to see and do...

Spiaggia sia attrezzata che libera con un mare fantastico. I posti auto per il parcheggio libero sono pochi e quindi si deve arrivare presto. Se volete prendere gli ombrelloni a pagamento si parcheggia sul lido nella pineta. Attenzione che la spiaggia libera é poca sia a sinistra del lido che soprattutto a destra. Armatevi di pazienza perché gli ombrelloni non si piantano perché a terra è roccioso e quindi aiutatevi con le numerose pietre che troverete sul posto posizionandole ai lati dell'asta. Una volta in mare sulla vostra destra proseguite a nuoto di fianco alla roccia ed ad un certo punto troverete un passaggio, dove c'è anche piede, dopo si divede il costone con un altro scoglio. Proseguendo ancora sulla destra giungerete ad una piccolissima spiaggetta dove arriva il sole solo in tarda mattinata. Proseguire ancora e troverete la spiaggia Dei beach plus. Ora sulla vostra destra, con quest'ultima spiaggia alle spalle, potrete nuotare fino alla scoglio che fa ad angolo per poter salire e fare meravigliosi tuffi. Una volta arrivati in cima sedetevi per godere della magnifica vista del mare che si manifesta davanti a voi e delle barche che si sesseguono in entrambi le direzioni. A questo punto goderete anche della vista dello scoglio, che da questa posizione sembra un leone in posizione di riposo, che vi siete lasciato alle spalle e visto che dovete tornare indietro ripassando il piccolo canale dirigetevi proprio su quest'ultimo scoglio pet salirci sopra per dopo riscendere a mare e tornare al punto di partenza. A proposito di questa ulteriore spiaggia denominata Dei Beach plus è raggiungibile da dove siete giunti con l'auto e avete notato davanti a voi,prima di svoltare a sx per il lido, una stradina in salita dove ci passa solo un'auto per volta. Provate a percorrerla e dopo pochi metri troverete uno spiazzo dove poter parcheggiare circa 5/6 auto e avventuratevi sul sentiero alla vostra sx dove ad un certo punto se proseguite a destra vi troverete nella parte scogliera per i tuffi mentre proseguendo a sx vi troverete una specie di scala creata con tronchi di legno per accedere alla spiaggia Dei Beach plus....
