Camping Batis Beach — Attraction in Kavala Municipality

Staff were very rude and disrespectful. We came around 1 pm and all the sunbeds were full. It was scorching and incredibly hot so we sat in the first shade we saw which was the cabana. We didn’t occupy the sunbeds or the chairs in the cabana. We only sat on the floorboards of the cabana because it had shade and we were burning due to walking all the way to the end of the beach searching for available sunbeds. One of the waiters came up to us and told us to get out. We explained that there were no seats and we were waiting for a sunbed to open up. I tried to explain that my mother & father was exhausted due to the heat but they just told us to get out of the cabana. We said we would get out but we didn’t have any where to sit. His supervisor came and told us to get out and sit at the “stools”. They were incredibly rude and disrespectful towards us and told us to go get refunds and get out. Even after we found sunbeds to sit the same waiter came up and told me that we have to order or get out of the beach(we had just sat down and all other members of my party went to swim). The staff are incredibly rude and mean towards you. They are only nice to you when you pay or order something. The beach is good but mediocre at best compared to others. There are other good alternatives which are around the same price without the rude and disrespectful attitude you get from this place. The funny thing is nobody sat at the cabana that whole day. They were mean to us for no reason at all. We were there almost until sundown and the cabana was still empty...

You can also rent a 5 stars boutique caravans up to 6 or 8 persons(with private internet, satelite television, own kitchen with water supply, air condition and much more) - just for a night, week or month. Frendly stuff, nice and clean beach area, 2 water pools (for childrens and adults), 2 beach bars, taverna and night bar. Free parking too. Batis Multiplex is in 2km from Kavala, very close to Shell Gas Station, 2 big supermarkets (Lidl and Masoutis), close to national hospital and Jumbo store for your kids is about 8km far away. Terrible experience – avoid this beach at all costs! We tried to sit on more than 10 sunbeds, but every single time we were told they were “reserved” – even though there were no signs anywhere saying so. After finally managing to sit, no one came to take our order for 20 minutes. We had to call three different waiters before someone finally bothered. When we paid, we waited over an HOUR for our drinks, and they never even arrived.

The staff is rude, disorganized, and clearly doesn’t care about the customers. If you want to ruin your day, this is the perfect place. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and stay far away...
