🇱🇷The beach is very beautiful, water very clear with a lot of fish for those who practice snorkeling. The beach is made only by stones so you need special shoes. If you arrive here by car, be prepared for a heavy road and a tax of 7 Euros for parking. After you park, you have to walk ~3-4 minutes, there are some stairs. If you don't want to come by car, there are boats that arrive hourly and drop/take tourist directly on the beach.
Each set of 2 seats and one umbrella cost 15 Euros and no discounts are applied (not even for half day).
You don't have many options for food, there is only one bar with some sandwitches in the parking lot. On the beach there is only one bar for drinks. We ate in Vassiliki.
Read moreWe arrived there with rented ATV’s and they asked us to pay 10 euros per ATV like cars, when on other beaches you pay just 5 euros or less. But they decided to charge us like cars, okay, we paid 10 euros and they told us that we can benefit 2 soft drinks, I don’t want this kind of marketing when I can pay just for parking without the drinks. After that one guy redirected us to park the ATV’s in some rather dangerous gravel outside the parking lot where the cars sit, the area was very badly maintained and there were many metals stuck in the ground that could damage your vehicle. Getting to the beach is very difficult and dangerous, without any support barrier where you can slip and fall down.
On the beach almost the whole beach is set up with their umbrellas and sunbeds and after a few minutes when you arrive they tell you to pay 25 euros for 2 sunbeds and an umbrella, which is very excessive, those people think they already own the whole beach. When we found this out, we decided to leave and told them to give us our money back. And they didn't want to do that, even though I didn't use any drink and I stayed there for a maximum of an hour. He threatened to call the police and I said that I'm not leaving until he comes, because they already want to make money out of nothing. And in the end they decided to return us only 10 euros from the 20 paid for parking. Avoid, there is no toilet,...
Read moreIf you're looking to enjoy a beach day, you're better off heading to Porto Katsiki. This beach simply isn't worth the hassle.
Cons: The beach is about 300 meters from a "private area," and parking near the entrance costs €10. There's no room to park your car before the gate as the road is very narrow. The "owners" of the gate and parking area don't have any documents proving the land is privately owned or rented. They refused to show any paperwork. Payment can only be made in cash; card or bank transfer options are not available. The man at the entrance was insistent on cash payment. From the parking lot, you need to walk about 70 meters down the stairs to the beach. There are no toilets, so the pathway leading to the beach has an unpleasant smell due to "natural" alternatives being used. The area is quite dirty, and the "owners" don’t maintain it. Finding natural shade is difficult, though umbrellas are available for rent.
Pros: The water is clear, making it a good spot for snorkeling. The beach is scenic, though not more beautiful than others along the western coast.
You can also reach the beach by boat from Vasiliki, which runs once an hour and costs €5 per person.
The drive from Lefkada to this beach takes about an hour, so if you don’t want to spoil your mood, it’s better to visit Vasiliki or...
